Original Vintage 1961 Defected Russian Military MIG Aviation Warplane Black and White Photos Lot Of 3. My father, Donald Dietz’s, notes on the back indicate he thought this defected airplane in Taiwan (where he was stationed with the US Air Force at the time) was a MiG 15, but by the cockpit shape this aircraft appears to be a Russian MiG 17 jet fighter airplane. My father’s notes also mention the photos were taken by his friend Joel Aronsson (my uncle Joel growing up), who later became a photography professor at Columbia University. Each photograph dimension: 3 1/4” x 2 1/2”
